Happiness is a deep feeling, All the sorrows that are healing, Although you recently had a fight, It helps you to see the happier side of life, But usually sorrows cut like a knife, Many things that you felt were rude, They spoil your happy mood, Smiling is the first step of happiness, Laughing is the second step of happiness, Screaming is the highest step towards happiness, Frowning is surely not enjoying happiness, Flying, high above the sky, Oh! my, This is what happiness is all about, I'll tell you later what happiness can bring about.... |

Love Is ...
Love is the greatest feeling,
Love is like a play,
Love is what I feel for you,
Each and every day,
Love is like a smile,
Love is like a song,
Love is a great emotion,
That keeps us going strong,
I love you with my heart,
My body and my soul,
I love the way I keep loving,
Like a love I can't control,
So remember when your eyes meet mine,
I love you with all my heart,
And I have poured my entire soul into you,
Right from the very start.
Love is like a play,

A PASSIONATE REVELATION FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE HEART
Its strange at times,
When I sit and think of
a strong emotion that lies within
An emotion that i know is mine,
No one can steal it,
Its strong enough, And I can feel it.....
I want to reach out,
To someone so dear
Someone, whose far away yet seems so near
Someone,
Who, perhaps doesn't know the fact
That it is hard for me now
To keep heart intact....
It's divine to love
To adore a feeling
That's sinful to ignore........
Falling in love-
It's very easy to do,
Being in love-
Now that's the tough part!!!
When I sit and think of
a strong emotion that lies within
An emotion that i know is mine,
No one can steal it,
Its strong enough, And I can feel it.....
I want to reach out,
To someone so dear
Someone, whose far away yet seems so near
Someone,
Who, perhaps doesn't know the fact
That it is hard for me now
To keep heart intact....

Are you a potato maniac
HERE ARE SOME FACTS FOR THE MANIACS
Despite being delicious fried, baked, or boiled, the root vegetable rarely gets the praise it deserves. The environmentally friendly food crop has played a huge role in our development, but rarely do we give our starchy friend a second thought.
A new initiative from the UN Food and Agriculture organization aims to change all that. Ladies and Gentlemen, we are officially living in the International Year of the Potato. The initiative attempts to highlight the importance of the potato and promote potato research and development.
The last time I did any potato research it was jamming some toothpicks in a spud and suspending it over a glass of water. Nonetheless, in the spirit of the International Year of the Potato here are some interesting facts about this king of tubers.
7. They’re Eco Friendly Potatoes are environmentally friendly. They’re cheap and ridiculously easy to grow, and don’t require massive amounts of fertilizer and chemical additives to thrive (although some growers still use them anyway). They’re also super cheap and good for you, providing you’re not eating them in fried form all the time. This makes them a perfect crop for farmers in the developing world, who can easily grow a nutritious food in adverse conditions.
6. The Potato has been Grown in Space In 1995, potato plants were taken into space with the space shuttle Columbia. This marked the first time any food was ever grown in space.
5. Potatoes Can be Gigantic The world’s largest potato weighed in at 18 pounds, 4 ounces according to the Guinness Book of World Records. That’s enough for 73 portions of medium fries at McDonalds.
4. The Irish Weren’t the First to Eat Them While potatoes may be synonymous with the Irish these days, they were grown in the Andes mountains centuries before Europeans ever set foot in the new world. The Inca people of Peru were growing them as far back as 200 BC. They were first introduced to Britain and Ireland in the late 1500s. They weren’t an immediate hit either, many people blamed them for diseases and railed against them because they weren’t mentioned in the Bible.
3. “French Fries” are Old The “French fry” was allegedly served in the U.S. for the first time by Thomas Jefferson at a presidential dinner.
2. They were Royally Fashionable Potato blossoms used to be the hottest royal fashion accessory. Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were both known to wear potato blossoms to spiff up their outfits.
1. It's an Important Crop The potato is the most important non-cereal crop in the world, and fourth most important crop overall. Only corn, wheat, and rice are more important. In the US, potato products are the second most consumed food overall, trailing only dairy products.
Now that you’re more enlightened on this important plant, go out and celebrate the potato this year. If you have an artistic bent, try joining the International Year of the Potato World Photography Contest. I look forward to the results, I'm guessing the potato will inspire me like never before.

Disturbing Trend
Drug addiction is becoming a major health problem in India with probably 70 million drug addicts noted till this time, and the number is even expected to mount spreading its wings to semi-urban and backward areas as well.
Officials of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment said
'Drug and alcohol abuse is becoming an area of concern as this is increasing while traditional moorings, social taboos, emphasis on self-restraint and pervasive control and discipline of the joint family and community are eroding'.
As per the existing popularity this trend is seen widely within the age group of 12-18 years with a percentage of 21.4 for alcohols, 3 per cent for cannabis, 0.7 per cent for opiates and any 3.6 per cent for other illicit drugs and with uncertain section of society only- commercial sex workers, transportation workers and street children along with this the increasing usage trend in north eastern states and boarders cannot be ignored.
It’s high time we as a society along with our government get out of beds against this obsessive habit among youths.
Dum Maaro Dum
Movie review
Lust, drugs, mafia and to add a little more spice to it we have Deepika Padukone performing a sensual item number, and it’s all there in Rohan Sippy’s long awaited Dum Maaro Dum. The movie is about different lives in Goa. Every one linked with drugs or love. It starts with Tani and Lorry (Pratriek Babbar) getting admission in US universitiesbut lorry does not get a scholarship forcing him to depart from his love for four years. When one is depressed he looks for comfort in liquor but Lorry goes astep forward and ends up relieving his pain with dope and sex. But his hopes return as his friend gives him a choice to do a minor drug transfer in return for $15000 for his admission. Initially confused he decides not to but eventually turns towards it.Everything is set for him to go, but as luck has it he is caught in the airport by ACP Vishnu Kamath (Abhishek Bachchan)
The story of Kamath is then shown. Once a corrupted officer of the narcotic department, his life changes when he loses his wife (Vidhya Balan) and son in a car accident. Now he has been appointed to clear all corners of Goa. He appoints a team which includes Mercy and Sandesh Rane who one by one clear out all drug joints of Goa.
Now this rings a alarm in the house of Lorsa Biscuta who is the head of all drug deals in Goa. He owns most of the joints and has a hand in all kinds of business happening in Goa. All drug dealers are running scared and business seems to be slipping away when Biscuta turns to a secret friend Micheal Barbosa, who has never been seen before. Now Kamath is in the hunt for Barbosa. Mean while Lorry has been taken in lock up and fearing the worst for his family he doesn’t say a word. But determined to save him, his friend DJ Joki (Rana Daggubati) keeps talking to Kamath. And also he takes the help of his other friends to root out information about Barbosa just to be caught by Biscuta and beaten by him. Joki is in this because he lost his love Zoe (Bipasha Basu) to Biscuta as she also fell into this drug trap. Zoe now works for Biscuta. Zoe meets Joki and he asks her to help him free lorry from the cops. She falls for him again and after making love to him she records Biscuta talking about deals and gives it to Joki. But Biscuta finds out about this and gets rid of her

In this encounter Kamath finally finds out whom or rather what Barbosa is. But before he can close the case he is killed by Rane who turns out to be a traitor and an important man of Biscuta. Amidst all the incidents Joki finds out about everything and himself solves the case of Barbosa. He gets hold of all the drugs and calls Biscuta and makes a deal, he asks Biscuta to clear his and Lorry’s name. But while doing so he calls Rane. He takes Rane to the place where he has hid all the drugs. On the way he confronts Rane and kills him.
Next he calls Biscuta and tells him that it is the end of the story. Biscuta runs to the funeral of Kamath. We are then shown that all the drugs are kept inside the electrical furnace. Now with Kamath, everything that Biscuta owns is burnto ashes. It’s a happy ending for everyone as Tani returns from USA and is reunited with Lorry. Now what exactly Barbosa means is something the movie needs to be watched
Experiencing the taste of purani dilli
Just the mention of Old Delhi or Purani Dilli is enough to make anyone’s mouth water; the delectable taste of the wide varieties of dishes available here is unmatched throughout the country. People, both Indians and foreigners, flock the walled city just to taste some of the most exquisite food available on the platter. You can choose from a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items, as well as the diverse street-food on offer. Most of the joints have been in existence for almost a century, with one of them already having crossed 220 years of operations.
The scrumptious food joints include the world famous Ghantewala and Paranthewali Gali, the lane offering all sorts of paranthas. While Karim and Moti Mahal provide the best non-vegeterian and vegetarian foods, respectively, Chatwallah and Chainaraam offer the palatable street-food and sweets that Purani Dilli is renowned for. The Kachauris, served with Bedmi, are exclusive to this area and the Kulfi-Faluda of Gianiji is incomparable. Jalebivala, who only offers Samosas and Jalebis, is a much sought-after name among the foodies.
Earlier, getting to Old Delhi was a bit of a hassle, due to the traffic congestions, but now, with the Delhi Metro Rails halting at the Chandni Chowk station from all sections of the walled city and surrounding areas, getting to the area is not a problem. With the stupendous number of dishes on offer, no foodie can resist coming to these lanes of the national capital of India.
